What's new with Thera Pillow 2.0 compared with 1.0?

Wondering what's new with the 2.0, what is the difference between 1.0 and 2.0, or which Thera Pillow to choose? Here are the differences.

Thera Pillow 1.0 and 2.0 both combine heat, vibration, and cervical traction. The 2.0 adds more control over each function and a larger battery.

Thera Pillow 2.0 compared with 1.0

  • Heat: 2.0 has three settings: 104°F (40°C), 111°F (44°C), and 118°F (48°C). The 1.0 product page describes a single heat setting.
  • Traction: 2.0 lets you choose from three height settings. The 1.0 has its original traction mode.
  • Vibration: 2.0 has three selectable rhythms—Pulse, Rise, and Hum. The 1.0 product page describes four patterns, so the pattern choices are different rather than simply more numerous.
  • Control: 2.0 starts in Auto Mode, which cycles through heat, vibration, and traction. In Manual Mode, you can adjust the functions individually and combine them.
  • Battery: 2.0 has a 5,000 mAh battery, compared with the 1.0 product page’s 2,500 mAh battery. The 2.0 product page lists up to 22 automatic 15-minute cycles per charge, or up to 16 cycles at maximum settings. Actual use varies with settings.
  • Build and safety: The 2.0 product page describes a reinforced internal frame, temperature regulation, and an automatic shutoff after each 15-minute cycle.

Both models are cordless and charge with a USB-C cable. The 2.0 takes about 4.5 hours to charge fully with a compatible 2A adapter.
